What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is taking the world by storm and is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. It is a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton. Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with solid bats (paddles) and a perforated plastic ball. The net is slightly lower than a tennis net.  It can be played by all ages but the smaller court and doubles play make it easier for the not-so-agile!

The Group started in January 2024 and our current members have all mastered the scoring system - a mixture of badminton, squash and tennis.  This enables us to play friendly games that are not taken too seriously.   Equipment is provided if you don't have your own.

We currently have a couple of spaces for new members who have some knowledge of the game.

Please contact Marilyn via the organiser name link on this page if you are interested in playing or learning to play.  Please include your Chiswell Green u3a membership number in the message.
